Tin How Temple (Chinatown)

Tin How Temple on Waverly Place is a small Taoist temple in San Francisco's Chinatown dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu. The temple dates to the mid-19th century and is one of the oldest Chinese temples on the U.S. West Coast, serving successive generations of immigrants. It occupies a second-floor space above a storefront and is a documented site of ongoing religious and cultural practice within Chinatown.
