Wells Fargo Center (Minneapolis)

The Wells Fargo Center, standing at 774 feet, is the third-tallest building in Minneapolis and a striking example of modernized art deco architecture designed by César Pelli. Completed in 1988, it reflects the city's skyline and pays homage to iconic structures like 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Originally the site of the Northwestern National Bank, the building has undergone significant transformations and is home to major tenants including Wells Fargo, Faegre Drinker law firm, and KPMG. It is recognized for its energy efficiency and was honored by the Urban Land Institute. Visitors can admire its illuminated facade at night, and while the Wells Fargo History Museum once showcased historical artifacts, it closed in 2020. The building continues to be a central part of Minneapolis's business landscape.
