Hotel Emma and the Pearl Brewery legacy

Hotel Emma is an adaptive reuse of the historic Pearl Brewery brewhouse and opened as a boutique hotel in 2015 as part of the Pearl redevelopment. The hotel is named for Emma Koehler, who managed the Pearl Brewery in the early 20th century and became associated with the site's brewing history. Hotel Emma's restoration of brewery spaces into hospitality, dining, and event venues has been central to the Pearl's role as a modern cultural and culinary district.
