Col. James Graham House

The Col. James Graham House, built in 1770, is a historic log cabin located in Lowell, West Virginia, and is recognized as the oldest multi-story log cabin in the state. As the first home established by settlers in Summers County, it holds significant historical value, having been the site of a Native American attack in 1777. The house features a unique design with two floors, an attic, and large stone chimneys, making it larger than typical pioneer cabins. Now a museum, it offers tours during the summer and hosts community events, alongside the nearby Saunders One Room School House Museum and a barn showcasing vintage farm equipment, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
