King's Chapel and King's Chapel Burying Ground

King's Chapel was founded as an Anglican congregation in 1686 and its current stone church building on Tremont Street was completed in 1754. The adjacent King's Chapel Burying Ground, established in 1630, is Boston's oldest cemetery and contains gravestones of early colonial settlers. The church and burying ground are significant for their continuous roles in Boston's religious and civic history and for hosting historic tours and occasional concerts.
