La Villita Historic Arts Village

La Villita is a historic arts village on the south bank of the San Antonio River located within one of the city's earliest European settlement areas. The neighborhood was restored as an arts and cultural district in the 1930s through Works Progress Administration projects and now contains artisan shops, galleries, and performance spaces. La Villita is integrated into the River Walk pedestrian network and hosts regular cultural events and festivals.
