Peralta Adobe – Oldest Building in San Jose

The Peralta Adobe at the Plaza de César Chávez was built in 1797 and is the oldest standing building in San Jose. The adobe has been preserved and interpreted as a museum documenting domestic life from the Spanish and Mexican eras of the pueblo. It sits adjacent to the Fallon House and helps illustrate the original layout of the early town.
