Lok Bhavan, Bhopal

Lok Bhavan, formerly known as Raj Bhavan, is the official residence of the governor of Madhya Pradesh, located in Bhopal. Constructed in 1880 by Begum Shah Jahan, it originally served as a residence for British officers and was known as Lal Kothi. The building showcases European architectural influences and is notable for its red clay roof. Following India's independence, it transitioned from a British residence to the official home of the Chief Commissioner and later the Governors of Madhya Pradesh. The site also features a small mosque, reflecting the cultural practices of the time.
