Sheldon Inn

The Sheldon Inn, built in 1825 in Canton Township, Michigan, was a historic two-story Greek Revival building that served as both a family home and a travelers' inn. Established by Timothy and Rachel Sheldon, it became a hub for settlers moving westward from Detroit, contributing to the growth of the surrounding community, Sheldon Corners. The inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 but was demolished in 2021. Visitors to the area can appreciate its historical significance and the role it played in the development of early Michigan settlements.
