The Union Block is a historic business building located on Public Square in downtown Lima, Ohio, built in 1878 during a period of significant growth for the city. This three-story brick structure showcases Victorian architectural elements, including ornate lintels and stone trim, with a distinctive sloping roofline. Originally a key commercial site, it replaced Lima's first hotel and reflects the city's expansion influenced by the railroads. The building features a well-preserved interior with iron posts and a cast iron staircase.
