THEARC (Town Hall Education Arts and Recreation Center)

THEARC opened in 2005 on the Anacostia riverfront and provides permanent space for nonprofit arts, education, and health organizations serving underserved communities in Southeast D.C. The facility includes performance space, classrooms, art galleries, and social-service offices and hosts performances, exhibitions, and community programs. THEARC is frequently cited as a cultural anchor for arts and educational programming in Anacostia.
