Germantown White House

The Germantown White House, also known as the Deshler–Morris House, is a historic mansion located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, notable for being the oldest surviving presidential residence. Built in 1752 by merchant David Deshler, the house served as a temporary residence for President George Washington during the Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1793 and was a site of strategic meetings during his presidency. The house is now part of Independence National Historical Park and was renamed in 2009 to reflect its significance.
