Middleton Substation

The Middleton Substation, built in 1912, is a historic Italianate building located in Middleton, Idaho. It served as part of an interurban railway loop connecting Middleton with Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. This small structure, measuring 16 feet by 30 feet, housed transformers and an office. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The site is now home to the Lee Moberly Museum, honoring a former local postmaster and historian, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring the region's transportation history.
