Procter and Collier–Beau Brummell Building

The Procter and Collier–Beau Brummell Building, located at 440 East McMillan St in Cincinnati's Walnut Hills neighborhood, is a historic site designed in the Tudor Revival style by Elzner & Anderson and completed in 1921. Originally built for the Procter and Collier advertising agency, it later became the manufacturing hub for the Beau Brummell clothing company, known for its elegant men's neckties, until its closure in 1982. The building was restored by Union Institute & University after its acquisition in 1989 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. In 2021, it was sold to the University of Cincinnati, making it a notable landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in Cincinnati's architectural and industrial history.
