Market Square (El Mercado)

Market Square (El Mercado) is a three-block Mexican marketplace in downtown San Antonio that is widely described as the largest Mexican market in the United States. The plaza contains dozens of shops and restaurants selling Mexican goods, crafts, and food. It hosts major cultural and civic events, including large Cinco de Mayo and Diez y Seis de Septiembre celebrations.
