The Portland Building

Designed by architect Michael Graves and completed in 1982, the Portland Building is an early and widely cited example of postmodern civic architecture. The ten-story municipal office building is noted for its colorful facade and symbolic ornamentation, and it originally consolidated many city offices under one roof. The building underwent a major seismic and interior renovation that was completed in 2019.
