Penn Treaty Park - site associated with William Penn and the Lenape

Penn Treaty Park on the Delaware River commemorates the traditional site known as Shackamaxon where William Penn is said to have met with Lenape leader Tamanend in the 1680s to negotiate peaceful relations.
