Institut Pere Mata

Institut Pere Mata is a historic psychiatric hospital located in Reus, Catalonia, Spain, designed by the renowned Catalan Modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Constructed between 1897 and 1912, it features a unique architectural style similar to that of Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, with distinct buildings for various specialties. While the hospital continues to operate, one of its pavilions is no longer used for medical purposes and is open for visitors, offering a glimpse into its architectural and historical significance.
