Bartram's Garden

Bartram's Garden, founded by botanist John Bartram in 1728, is the oldest surviving botanic garden in North America and preserves early colonial horticultural infrastructure. The site includes the Bartram family house, historic nursery beds, and documented plant collections that supported 18th- and 19th-century botanical study and plant trade. Bartram's Garden is operated as a historic site and public garden that interprets early American botany.
