Heritage Farmstead Museum

The Heritage Farmstead Museum, also known as the Ammie Wilson House, is a historic farm museum located in Plano, Texas. Built in 1891, this late-Victorian farmhouse was part of a 365-acre farm owned by the Farrell family, who were prominent landowners in the area. After the family's divorce in 1929, their daughter Ammie managed the farm and became a renowned livestock breeder. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and opened as a living museum in 1986, showcasing 4.5 acres of preserved land. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, making it a significant destination for tourists and researchers interested in Texas history and agriculture.
