Witte Museum archaeological collections

The Witte Museum maintains and exhibits archaeological collections from the San Antonio region and South Texas, spanning Paleoindian and Archaic stone tools through historic-period artifacts. These collections include cataloged materials from regional excavations that support research and public exhibits about prehistoric occupation and later Native American and colonial-era lifeways. The museum uses these collections in rotating and permanent displays to interpret human history in the San Antonio area.
