Tuse Kro

Tuse Kro, a historic former coaching inn built in 1754, is located in the village of Tuse, Denmark, opposite Tuse Church. Once a vital resting point for travelers between Roskilde and Kalundborg, it served both private and public coaches until the advent of the North-West Railway in 1874 led to its closure in 1906. The building, featuring a charming thatched roof and white-plastered walls with oak timber framing, was listed as a protected structure in 1950. After years of neglect, it underwent extensive restoration, completed in 2018, preserving its architectural heritage for future generations. Today, it stands as a testament to Denmark's rich history and offers a glimpse into the past for tourists and researchers alike.
