Pegasus sign atop the Magnolia Building (Magnolia Hotel)

The red Pegasus rooftop sign was installed atop the Magnolia Building in 1934 as a symbol of Magnolia Petroleum and has since become an iconic element of the Dallas skyline. The Pegasus is frequently photographed and reproduced in postcards, social media images, and internet posts representing Dallas. The Magnolia Building now operates as the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Dallas.
