Leeds Junior High School

Leeds Junior High School, located in Sioux City, Iowa, was a historic educational building completed in 1939 in the Art Deco style. Originally built to serve the growing population of the northeast corner of the city, it was financed through a local bond and Public Works Administration funds. The school transitioned from a junior-senior high to an elementary school as newer educational facilities were established. It was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, but was ultimately demolished in 2008 to make way for a new school.
