Palais Hoyos

Palais Hoyos is a stunning Art Nouveau building located in the Landstraße district of Vienna, Austria. Designed by the renowned architect Otto Wagner at the end of the 19th century, this palace showcases a blend of Rococo and Vienna Secession styles. Historically significant, it was home to composer Gustav Mahler and later became the residence of the Hoyos family, who sold it to Yugoslavia in 1957 for use as its embassy. Following the dissolution of Yugoslavia, the building transitioned to Serbian ownership and eventually to Croatia in 2011. The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently renovating the palace to serve as its embassy, making it a noteworthy site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and diplomatic heritage.
