Track 61 - Waldorf-Astoria's secret train platform

Track 61 is a disused private rail track and platform beneath the Waldorf-Astoria hotel used historically for private railroad service. It was used for discreet arrivals and is widely reported to have been used to bring President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the hotel to avoid public attention. The platform remains sealed and is frequently cited in accounts of hidden infrastructure beneath Midtown Manhattan.
