Waterman–Winsor Farm

The Waterman–Winsor Farm is a historic farmhouse located in Greenville, Smithfield, Rhode Island, dating back to as early as 1710. Originally owned by Resolved Waterman, the farm encompassed 600 acres and included a tavern. The farmhouse features a main structure and a rear gambrel ell, with parts built by Colonel Abraham Winsor and Capt. Andrew Waterman in the 18th century. Known as Maplewood Orchard in the late 19th century, it was the largest apple orchard in Rhode Island, producing apples for over a century. The property remained in the Waterman and Winsor families until 1975, now reduced to 1.85 acres of its original land.
