Carpenter's Hall - meeting place of the First Continental Congress

Carpenter's Hall, completed in 1770, hosted the First Continental Congress in 1774 and served as a meeting place for Philadelphia's Carpenters' Company. The building is preserved as an 18th-century meeting hall and museum that interprets colonial civic life and artisanship. It remains a documented historic site within Independence National Historical Park and is open for guided tours and educational programs.
