Hunter-Coulter House

The Hunter-Coulter House, located at the northern corner of 2nd and Commerce Streets in Ashdown, Arkansas, is a historic single-story wood-frame structure built in 1918. This example of American craftsman architecture features a gable roof, a full-width front porch with heavy wooden columns, and distinctive exposed rafters. Constructed during the building boom following the arrival of the railroad in Ashdown, it is one of the few surviving residences from that era in Little River County. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
