Kingsley Plantation slave quarters and burial ground

Kingsley Plantation on Fort George Island is a National Park Service site that preserves an 18th–19th century plantation house, tabby slave quarters, and an associated burial ground. Archaeological investigations at the site have documented artifacts and structural remains related to the daily lives of the enslaved people who lived there. The site is interpreted to reflect enslaved people's living conditions and cultural history along the St. Johns River.
