Houston Museum of Natural Science

The Houston Museum of Natural Science, located in the Museum District, houses extensive permanent exhibits including the Burke Baker Planetarium, the Cockrell Butterfly Center, and a prominent paleontology hall with mounted dinosaur fossils. The museum mounts rotating special exhibitions and offers educational programs for school groups and the public. Its campus includes exhibition halls, a public planetarium, and live-animal and living-plant displays used for hands-on science education.
