Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a decommissioned underground drinking water reservoir built in 1926 and converted into an art and event space that opened for public programming in 2016. The interior features a grid of concrete columns and a reflective shallow pool that hosts guided tours, art installations, and occasional performances. Public access is primarily through scheduled, ticketed tours run by Buffalo Bayou Partnership and partner organizations.
