Independence Hall

Independence Hall is the building where the Second Continental Congress debated and adopted the Declaration of Independence and where the U.S. Constitution was debated and signed. It is part of Independence National Historical Park and has been a focal point for civic pilgrimages honoring the American founding. The site offers ranger-led tours and interpretation of the 18th-century debates that shaped the United States. Independence Hall was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
