Seattle Kraken inaugural home game

The NHL expansion Seattle Kraken played their first home game on October 23, 2021, at Climate Pledge Arena. The game marked the NHL's return to Seattle and the opening of the Kraken's inaugural season. Climate Pledge Arena opened after a major renovation of the former Seattle Center Coliseum to accommodate the NHL franchise. The opponent in that first home game was the Vegas Golden Knights.
