Stardust Resort and Casino (vacant before demolition)

The Stardust Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip closed in 2006 and remained vacant while the site was cleared for redevelopment. The resort was imploded on March 13, 2007, after sitting unused between closure and demolition. The cleared Stardust site was intended for the Echelon Place project, which was later halted during the financial crisis and the parcel ultimately changed ownership. The Stardust was one of the largest recently abandoned casino properties on the Strip prior to its removal.
