Wells-Schaff House

The Wells-Schaff House, also known as 'Welkin,' is a historic Federal-style brick residence located in Sistersville, West Virginia. Built in 1832, this two-story home features a charming one-story front porch with Doric columns added in 1896, and a rear addition from 1935. The property also includes a summer house and the Wells Family cemetery, which contains the grave of Charles Wells, the founder of Wells' Landing. Recognized for its historical significance, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
