Aslacton Windmill

Aslacton Windmill, a Grade II listed tower mill located in Norfolk, England, dates back to approximately 1834, with historical roots tracing back to 1751. Once a bustling site for milling, it has since fallen into dereliction. The mill features a distinctive four-storey structure with a boat-shaped cap and was originally equipped with four double Patent sails and two pairs of millstones. Uniquely, it operated both by wind and steam engine. The mill's history includes various owners and millers, with notable figures such as Benjamin Gibson and Barnabas Burroughes. Today, visitors can explore the remnants of this historical site, which still houses some original machinery, offering a glimpse into the region's milling heritage.
