Building 101 (San Francisco)

Building 101 is a historic neoclassical structure located in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood, originally built in 1917 as the headquarters for the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation. This five-story building, which spans 80,000 square feet, played a significant role in the maritime industry and is part of the Union Iron Works historic district, recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. After serving various functions over the decades, it was recently transformed into a furniture gallery and restaurant by RH, opening its doors in 2022, making it a unique destination for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and urban redevelopment.
