Fish-House, Peterhead

The Fish-House, also known as the Salmon House, is a historic Category B listed building located on Golf Road in the Buchanhaven area of Peterhead, Scotland. Dating back to 1585, it is the oldest building in Peterhead and was originally constructed as a coastal store for Inverugie Castle by William Keith, 4th Earl Marischal. The building features a distinctive crow-stepped gable and is currently home to the Ugie Salmon smokehouse, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's fishing heritage. The surrounding area is also notable for its proximity to Peterhead Golf Club, established long after the Fish-House was built.
