The Mother Church (First Church of Christ, Scientist) and Christian Science Plaza

The Mother Church complex at 177 Huntington Avenue anchors the Christian Science Plaza in the Fenway–Back Bay area and includes the church, a reflecting pool, and a colonnade. The plaza and its reflecting pool were developed in the early 20th century and form a distinctive open civic space used for community events and as a landmark in the neighborhood. The adjacent Mary Baker Eddy Library and its Mapparium (a separate attraction) are part of the same campus.
