Insurance Building (Olympia, Washington)

The Insurance Building is a significant government structure located in Olympia, Washington, serving as the offices for the Insurance Commissioner and State Auditor. Designed by the New York architectural team of Walter Wilder and Harry White, it was completed in 1921 using durable Wilkeson stone. The building features a rectangular design with colonnades and is situated near the Winged Victory Monument, honoring World War I veterans. Notably, it sustained damage during the 1949 Olympia earthquake and later housed the Governor's office after the Nisqually earthquake in 2001.
