South Brick House

South Brick House is a historic Greek Revival-style home in Wake Forest, North Carolina, built in 1838. This 2+1⁄2-story brick dwelling features a distinctive side gable roof and a pedimented portico with four Doric columns. The interior showcases exquisite decorations based on Asher Benjamin's 1830 designs. The property includes a kitchen and smokehouse from 1855, along with a frame house dating back to around 1838. Originally serving as faculty accommodation for Wake Forest Institute, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014 and is part of the Wake Forest Historic District, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
