Jewish Cemetery Office Building

The Jewish Cemetery Office Building, located at 44 Yuriia Illienka Street in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a historic structure built in 1869 by architect Volodymyr Nikolaiev. Originally serving as the administrative center for the Lukyanivske Jewish Cemetery, it has a complex history, including its use as barracks for the German occupation command during World War II. Over the years, it has been repurposed multiple times, including a stint as a dormitory for a local ice hockey team. In recent years, the building has been restored and is now associated with the National Historical and Memorial Reserve 'Babyn Yar,' aimed at commemorating the victims of the Holocaust.
