Beer Can House

The Beer Can House is a noted example of Houston folk art created by John Milkovisch beginning in 1968 when he started covering his house and yard with flattened beer cans, bottle caps, and other found objects. Over several decades Milkovisch transformed much of the exterior into a densely covered, decorative surface and constructed additional sculptural fences and fixtures from cans. The property is now preserved and maintained by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art and is open to visitors on a limited basis.
