The Menil Collection

The Menil Collection houses the private art collection of John and Dominique de Menil and opened to the public in 1987. The museum campus is designed to provide diffuse natural light for viewing works ranging from antiquity through modern art. Admission to the Menil Collection is free and it is located in Houston's Montrose/Neartown neighborhood adjacent to the Rothko Chapel.
