Forest Home (Trinity, Alabama)

Forest Home, also known as the Absalom L. Davis House, is a historic residence located near Trinity, Alabama, built in 1856. This two-story I-house features a charming two-story porch and was once a working cotton farm owned by the Davis family until 1973. Absalom L. Davis, the original owner, was not only a farmer but also a teacher and a prominent figure in the Grange movement, advocating for farmers' rights. The house is recognized for its historical significance, being listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1979 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
