William G. Morgan House

The William G. Morgan House, also known as 'Morgan Acres,' is a historic Greek Revival home located in Bunker Hill, West Virginia, built in 1849. This two-story, nine-bay brick dwelling features a striking entrance portico with Doric columns and a unique Chinese Chippendale transom. The property is significant as it was constructed by William G. Morgan, a descendant of Morgan Morgan, the first white settler in West Virginia. Notably, the site is recognized as the location of Morgan Morgan's first shelter from 1726 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, making it a valuable destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
