Burton Barr Central Library

Opened in 1995 and designed by architect Will Bruder, Burton Barr Central Library is the flagship of the Phoenix Public Library system. The building is noted for its multi-story central atrium, extensive use of concrete and glass, and exterior sunshading elements that respond to the desert climate. The facility houses special collections, public computing resources, meeting rooms, and community programming.
