Akita Prefectural General Pool

The Akita Prefectural General Pool is a premier swimming venue located in Akita, Japan, notable for being the largest pool in the prefecture. It has hosted significant events, including the 2001 World Games, featuring competitions in lifesaving and finswimming. The pool is under the honorary directorship of Olympic competitor Hiroko Nagasaki. Visitors should note that the facility is closed on the third Monday of each month and during the year-end holidays from December 29 to January 1, as well as from January 20 to February 3.
