California Quadrangle

The California Quadrangle, located in Balboa Park, San Diego, is a historic site featuring the California Building and Tower, built for the 1915–16 Panama–California Exposition. Designed by architect Bertram Goodhue, these structures showcase a blend of architectural styles, including Gothic and Baroque, and are adorned with intricate sculptures by the Piccirilli Brothers. The California Tower, standing at 198 feet, offers public tours and features a carillon that plays throughout the park. The Quadrangle serves as the main entryway to Balboa Park and houses the Museum of Us, which focuses on anthropology and cultural exhibits. Visitors can also explore the St. Francis Chapel and Evernham Hall, making it a significant cultural and historical destination.
